个人简介
向建帮,国家级青年人才(海外),中山大学公共卫生学院(深圳)青年研究员博导,中山大学“逸仙学者”优秀学者,“百人计划”引进人才。本科毕业于华中科技大学,博士毕业于清华大学(合作导师:张寅平教授、Charles Weschler教授、莫金汉教授);美国杜克大学Nicholas环境学院访问学者(合作导师:Jim Zhang教授),华盛顿大学公共卫生学院博士后(合作导师:Edmund Seto教授)。主持国家高层次青年人才项目、国自然青年项目等,曾参与多项国内外科研项目。围绕环境健康问题,聚焦精准暴露与健康感知、暴露组学与人类健康的多学科交叉研究,推动环境暴露与健康的个性化管理。近年来,在Lancet、JAMA Intern. Med.、Environ. Sci. Technol.、Environ. Int.等医学、环境和工程类SCI期刊发文37篇,其中第一/通讯作者22篇。申请4项国家发明与实用新型专利,已授权2项。担任SCI期刊Building Simulation青年编委、中国环境诱变剂学会环境流行病学专委会委员、中国环境科学学会室内环境与健康分会青委会委员,Cell Reports Medicine、Journal of Hazardous Materials、Environmental Science & Technology、Environment International等30余种知名SCI期刊审稿人。曾获得2015年中国环境科学学会室内环境与健康分会年会优秀论文奖、2017年中国环境科学学会环境医学与健康分会年会优秀墙报奖、2018年清华大学建筑学院优秀博士学位论文、2023年中山大学公共卫生学院(深圳)教师教学竞赛一等奖、2024年中山大学优秀班主任等。

招生信息
课题组有较为完善的研究生培养体系,指导的研究生大多有较好的成果产出。目前组里已开发出可穿戴个体监测设备Eco-Tracker,并基于自建的队列采集了大量个体环境与健康样本及数据。期待有电子、计算机、数据科学、环境、或医学等相关背景的同学加入课题组,招收博士后、研究助理、博士生、硕士生和本科生。
Biography (in English)
Dr. Jianbang Xiang serves as an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean in the School of Public Health (Shenzhen) at Sun Yat-sen University. He is recognized as an "Outstanding Scholar" under the Sun Yat-sen University's "Sun Yat-sen Scholar" program and a talent introduced through the "Hundred Talents Program". Dr. Xiang earned his bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University (co-supervised by Professors Yinping Zhang, Charles Weschler, and Jinhang Mo). He was a visiting scholar at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment (under the supervision of Professor Jim Zhang) and a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Public Health, University of Washington (under the supervision of Professor Edmund Seto).
Dr. Xiang leads several prestigious research projects, including the National High-level Young Talent Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project. He has also participated in numerous domestic and international research projects. His research focuses on environmental health issues, particularly in multidisciplinary areas such as precision exposure and health sensing, exposomics, and human health, advancing personalized management of environmental exposure and health.
In recent years, Dr. Xiang has published 37 papers in top medical, environmental, and engineering SCI journals, including The Lancet, JAMA Internal Medicine, Environmental Science & Technology, and Environment International, with 22 papers as the first or corresponding author. He has applied for four national invention and utility model patents, two of which have been granted.
Dr. Xiang serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for Building Simulation, a member of the Environmental Epidemiology Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Mutagens, and a Youth Committee Member of the Indoor Environment and Health Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. He is also a reviewer for over 30 prominent SCI journals, including Cell Reports Medicine, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environmental Science & Technology, and Environment International.
Dr. Xiang has received some awards, including the Excellent Paper Award at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Indoor Environment and Health Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, the Excellent Poster Award at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Environmental Medicine and Health Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award from the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University in 2018, the First Prize in the 2023 Teaching Competition at the School of Public Health (Shenzhen), Sun Yat-sen University, and the 2024 Outstanding Class Advisor Award from Sun Yat-sen University.
Research Group & Opportunities
Our research group offers a well-structured graduate training system, and our students consistently achieve outstanding research outcomes. Currently, we have developed a wearable individual monitoring device, the Eco-Tracker, and have collected extensive environmental and health data through our self-established cohort.
We welcome students and researchers with backgrounds in electronics, computer science, data science, environmental science, or medicine to join us. We are actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, Ph.D. students, master’s students, and undergraduate students.
